The Adidas Samba snowboard boots feature a medium flex that excels at a wide variety of different riding styles. It's stiff enough for steep-and-deep backcountry and flexible enough for jibbing and tweaking.
These boots takes their soccer style inspiration to a winter performance level with cushioned comfort, a glove-like fit with exceptional heel lockdown, and a rugged Continental rubber outsole that grips the snow and ice.
I haven't actually got a chance to try these yet...I just bought them and everywhere around me closed. I did try them on and walked around in them a bit. They are really comfortable to walk around in, almost like wearing a normal pair of boots, which is a good thing and a bad thing. I think its is pretty accurate on its flex rating. my foot feels secure and rocking from my toes to heels feels pretty responsive.
There does however seem to be a lot of play in the upper boot, which is why I think walking is so comfortable. Its kind of hard to get the upper boot tight because the laces are pretty flimsy and stretchy. I felt like they could only get the boot so tight before they just started stretching. Also, the "teeth" on the lace metal hooks, (terminology?) that is supposed to prevent loosening don't do shit. Its a great idea, but poorly executed. Not really upset about that though, as that's not a standard thing, but would be nice if they actually worked.
Overall its a good boot and can't wait to try them out. They look sick, and feel good, so I'm sure they will ride good.
