Overview
Packing a lot of punch for the price, this year's Disaster snowboard is ready for jibbing, park, and freestyle. Put on some headphones, bust out the cameras, and go kill it. A favorite feature is the beech-wood stringers used to give this board a good amount of suspension for flat landings while giving you extra boost for your ollies. Although it is a camber board, Bataleon does a "Low Jib Camber" combined with a wider waist that really does the trick to offer a solid surface area for jibbing stability. The base uplift and soft flex make this board actually difficult to catch an edge on, so it's perfect for any rider level. If you've been thinking about it, go ahead, take it to the streets.

Ride Style

Park/Jibs - Typically soft and buttery, these boards are primarily for throwing down on boxes, rails, urban features, whatever you're after. These boards are generally true twin (or twin-ish) flexing boards for riding regular or switch, and softer flexes for jibbing and overall maneuverability.

Fun and forgiving enough for hot laps through the park - jibbing a box here, blasting a method there, back to the chair and all over again.

Beginner/Casual Riding - These boards are great for lazy day carving on mellow groomers or even playing around off-trail. Great for beginners to intermediate or those just wanting to cruise around and have a no-worries good time on the hill. - generally soft to mid flexing boards designed for easy mobility and mellow turns without breaking the bank.

Flex Rating

SoftStiff - Very Soft Flex - extremely mellow, easy-to-ride, playful buttery goodness for smaller riders, jibbing the park, casual riding, or for those just starting out

Shape

Twin - Typically designed for park and jib-influenced riding, this Twin shape snowboard category includes True Twins and Almost Twin (aka Twin-ish or Twin-like) boards with centered stances.

True Twins are symmetrical in shape/flex and will ride exactly the same regular or switch - while Almost Twins will ride equally well in both directions but may have a slightly lengthened (or heightened) nose than tail for a bit better float when riding your normal stance.

Camber Only - *Note: profile image exaggerated for visual perspective, please see this brand's specific camber tech for more details

Key Features

Jib 3BT Base - Widest center flat base. Jib TBT (aka 3BT) is great for jibbing and urban riding. The TBT uplift starts under your feet for a super loose effect while the extra wide center base stabilizes your slides and presses.

A TBT snowboard is flat between the bindings with angled side bases that are lifted with gradually increasing angles. The uplift starts from flat in the binding area to a maximum increase at the widest point of the board. With the new updated TBT there is a slight extra uplift happening after the effective edge to create an even looser feeling without sacrificing control.

Core

Core Core - Poplar core with hardwood reinforcements along the insert rows. This increases the core strength of your board and channels all energy into more pop.

Fiberglass

Bi-Ax Laminate - Bi-Ax laminates over and under the woodcore creates an easy flex with lots of feel. This gives you a super maneuverable and precise ride.

The Hype

High Cascade Snowboard Camp Award Winner - This product has been "Authorized Awesome" by camp riders at the High Cascade Snowboard Camp.
