The Ambush defies convention by combining versatile mid-range response and full-featured tech in a boot that's lighter and lasts longer than the competition's equivalent. Slightly softer than the Ruler and Hail, it offers a high-performance ride for those who prefer the stealth support and powerful lacing control of Speed Zone. Lightweight tech includes the Wishbone upper cuff with Jumper Cables on both sides for twice the snap, rebound, and life without sacrificing the high tweak-ability of a softer boot.

Comments about Burton Ambush Snowboard Boots:
I got these for a few reasons, they have shrinkage tech, and they're super lightweight. I wear an 11.5, and with shrinkage tech these allowed me to ride non-wide boards. I believe Burton rates these as a 4 or 5 on their flex scale. In my opinion they're a 3 out of the box. After walking around the house for a few hours and one day on the mountain they became a 1-2. I am 6' 3", weigh 200 lbs so that might be a factor, but these offer next to no support. IMO. After 5 days straight in Tahoe I bought new boots. Burton uses a non-durable toe box material too. My Cartels' toe strap ate them up, and took a few small pieces of material out of the back of the boots. These are probably excellent if you ride street sessions as they're really comfortable to walk and run in, but if you want support and durability I would look elsewhere.
