The Burton Covert jacket is for the cold days when not being weighed down by another midlayer is just as crucial as staying warm. The deceptively light Covert tows the line between a shell and a warmer jacket with low-profile Thermolite insulation to crank up the heat.
Thumbgrips at the sleeves provide a seamless fit with your gloves to keep chills out, while the Fulltime Contour hood allows for quick adjustments. Whether you choose to utilize the powder skirt or jacket-to-pant interface, snow will have a hell of a time getting inside, and you'll be stoked on that dryness insurance. Keep dry and rock as many or as few layers as you want with The Covert jacket.

I love this coat. I upgraded from a circa-2008 Alpine model. This Covert is even warmer than the old one but doesn't seem to be any heavier.
Sleeves are pretty long, even for me! (I wear a 34/35 sleeve length dress shirt) But cinched just a bit with the velcro and there are no problems. I actually prefer the longer sleeves as you can have a full range of motion and not have the sleeves come off your gloves when at the mountain.
