Overview
The Capita Horrorscope snowboard has always been one of the best park decks in the game, but this year it's better than ever with an all-new sustainable core and bomb-proof tips. The blunted shape pays tribute to urban shred sticks of old with a shorter tip and tail to cut weight for easier spins. Don't be dismayed by the board's smaller size, this team-tested profile rips in a big way with pre-loaded reverse camber and a durable, fast base. With another Good Wood award and a legion of loyal followers, the Horrorscope is still Capita's top-selling board for a reason.

Ride Style

Park/Jibs - Typically soft and buttery, these boards are primarily for throwing down on boxes, rails, urban features, whatever you're after. These boards are generally true twin (or twin-ish) flexing boards for riding regular or switch, and softer flexes for jibbing and overall maneuverability.

Fun and forgiving enough for hot laps through the park - jibbing a box here, blasting a method there, back to the chair and all over again.

Beginner/Casual Riding - These boards are great for lazy day carving on mellow groomers or even playing around off-trail. Great for beginners to intermediate or those just wanting to cruise around and have a no-worries good time on the hill. - generally soft to mid flexing boards designed for easy mobility and mellow turns without breaking the bank.

Flex Rating

SoftStiff - Mid-Soft Flex - all-around stability, pop, playful response and control for leaning towards the playful side

Shape

Twin - Typically designed for park and jib-influenced riding, this Twin shape snowboard category includes True Twins and Almost Twin (aka Twin-ish or Twin-like) boards with centered stances.

True Twins are symmetrical in shape/flex and will ride exactly the same regular or switch - while Almost Twins will ride equally well in both directions but may have a slightly lengthened (or heightened) nose than tail for a bit better float when riding your normal stance.

Camber Profile

Rocker Dominant - *Note: profile image exaggerated for visual perspective, please see this brand's specific camber tech for more details

Key Features

Urban Flat Kick Tech - On all the Dual Reverse camber FK jib and park machines. The maximum amount of rocker creates a catch-free ride so whether you're in the streets or at the resort, they're pre-positioned for pressing and never hang up.

Radial Sidecut - Radial sidecut is a single radius design causing your board to start and finish a turn on the same arc.

Core

RFC Sustainable Core - The RFC Sustainable core is the OG eco core. Its proven track record offers an environmentally conscious consumer a sustainable alternative without sacrificing any energy or stability expected from a CAPiTA. These cores are reforestation certified by a leading environmental agency for nature and habitat sustainability just like CAPiTA's other RFC cores, but made with a single species poplar grain for a smooth, consistent ride. Extending from edge to edge and tip to tail the wood grain has no knots or finger joints, enhancing response.

Laminates

Form 6 Fiberglass - The FORM 6 glass configuration consists of 612g/m2 biaxial fiberglass placed on both the base and topside of the construction at zero and 90-degree angles. This configuration results in a board that initiates turns easily, while retaining the pop necessary to handle variable conditions. The FORM 6 glass configuration is laid up wet by hand during the lamination process.

Base

HMC (High Molecular Composition) Extruded Base - CAPiTA uses a classic, time proven, extruded base for two of their classic board shapes. True to all extruded bases, these are low maintenance, user friendly bases that perform well with or without your constant waxing and attention. The HMC Extruded is a special "High Molecular Composition" base that is more dense, durable, and abrasion resistant than standard extruded bases. The result is a hard, fast, and reliable base that will get you where you want to go, and get there fast.

Screened Base Graphics - This snowboard graphic is screen-printed directly onto the base allowing CAPiTA to offer up these insanely detailed graphics they are known for.

The Hype

Transworld Good Wood Award Winner - Selected as a Good Wood winner by Transworld Magazine - chosen for quality snowboard construction and rideability.

High Cascade Snowboard Camp Award Winner - This product has been "Authorized Awesome" by camp riders at the High Cascade Snowboard Camp.

Details

360° Steel Edges - CAPiTA uses a full wrap steel edge that goes all the way around the board to add bomber protection to the tips and tails from impact damage.

Full ABS Sidewalls - ABS sidewalls are constructed from a durable plastic material that protects the core of your board against impact damage and adds power to your turns.

Bitter End Deflection Tuning - Reinforces the tip and tail for added impact protection.

PLT Topsheet Technology - PLT Topsheet Technology adheres to the board without using toxic and heavy lacquer to maintain vibrant and rich graphics on the board.

2 Year Warranty - Covered under manufacturer warranty for 2 years from the time of purchase. Warranty includes structural defects only and DOES NOT cover impact damage, abuse, misuse or normal wear and tear expected from aggressive riding.

Sorry folks, but bashing your board on a rock or rail does not qualify as a "manufacturer's defect" and will not be honored.

Great for jibs and steezy butters. The flex is amazing. It's not super fast but you don't need the speed if you're using like I am. Overall I'm super stoked on it. I knew after the first run that she was the one for me. Couldn't be happier
