Al Merrick and Dane Reynolds designed the Proton during Dane's 2007 WCT qualification year. While traveling and surfing various types of waves, Dane found The Proton suited his surfing in all conditions. The Proton has continuous rocker throughout. The bottom consists of a deep single concave, and full rails.
