Overview
Can you have too much of a good thing? Electric doesn't think so. That's what guided the design of this oversize Knoxville. With the rock-solid aesthetics of the original version intact, Electric scaled up the sizing to create a frame that offers more coverage and a larger look while maintaining clean, classic lines.

Pro Tip: Are polarized sunglasses better? Are they worth the price?

In many cases, yes. All sunglasses reduce brightness and block some amount of harmful UV rays. However, only polarized sunglasses are scientifically constructed to eliminate glare. Not just reduce it, but eliminate it. Polarized sunglasses are ideal for driving, where you get glare from your dash, your windshield and other vehicles. They perform much better than standard sunglasses – reducing eye strain and helping you see better – around water, snow, sand or any other reflective surroundings.

UV Protection

100% UV Protection - UV rays can be extremely harmful to your eyes. These damaging rays can accelerate your eyes aging process and these negative affects can be enhanced by surfaces like water and snow. In addition to providing exceptional optical clarity all Electric's lenses block 100% of these damaging UV rays so that your eyes can rest easy.

98% HEV Protection - High-Energy Visible (HEV) rays cause damage to the eye that don't often appear until later in life in the form of macular degeneration. These lenses minimize exposure and help to prevent future eye problems.

Size Category

E4 - Category sizes are measured from the widest point on the vertical axis of the sunglass frame.

Materials

Melanin Infused Polycarbonate Lenses - Melanin protects your eyes with equivalent to SPF 140, while polycarbonate provides the most impact and scratch resistant lens material available today. Polycarbonate can be produced much thinner and lighter than CR39 or glass.

Electric's injected polycarbonate lenses block 100% of the suns damaging UV, UVA, UVB and UVC rays. Polycarbonate lenses are extremely lightweight, provide high impact resistant, and have excellent optical clarity.

Grilamid Frame - Grilamid is a nylon compound that when heated and mold injected becomes the lightest, strongest plastic material available. Once Grilamid is formed it has the amazing attribute of being extremely flexible, but is able to maintain its original shape under all temperatures.

Polarized Levels

Electric’s Polarized lenses offer 100% UV protection, high color contrast and utilize the superior glare reduction of an optical polarized filter fueled with the finest degree of craftsmanship straight from their factories in Europe. This isn’t a cheap coating and this is not a gimmick, it’s a benchmark of quality for those who demand premium lenses. Whether you are fishing in the High Sierra or simply posted at your local beach, Electric’s Polarized lenses offer performance and optical clarity far beyond the familiar. Lose the glare and further your stare.

Polarized Level I - • Blocks 100% UVA / UVB / UVC and filters harmful blue light up to 400nm

• Excellent clarity

• Ultra lightweight

• Impact and scratch resistant

• Lenses comply with ANSI Z80.3, EN1836, AS/NZS 1067

Polarized Level II - • Blocks 100% UVA / UVB / UVC and filters harmful blue light up to 400nm

• Excellent clarity

• Ultra lightweight

• Impact and scratch resistant

• Lenses comply with ANSI Z80.3, EN1836, AS/NZS 1067
