I drove on the highway with my surfboard at 70 mph with no problems and no annoying vibration noises (to avoid this, just turn the straps once on the top of your car so they're not laying flat). The material is good quality and the D-ring system is really easy and secure. Takes about 5 minutes to put on or take off.

This worked great in a bind... needed to transport a 10' SUP 1200 miles and this rack worked great WITH AN ADDED TIE DOWN STRAP. I emphasize that part, because I would not suggest 70mph+ travel on windy freeways without the extra strap. We just used it with the 10' SUP and my 11'6" SUP both on it and with the extra strap and drove in 25mph winds at 60mph with no issue. Good product!

Aside from some apparent wind-generated frequencies (humming) at 40+ mph, it's a great, short-distance solution to board-schlepping. Just make sure you put your board on right!
