Hey John, how long have you been ripping?
I started skating like 18 years ago but I'd say within that is probably a solid 13-14 years of skating.
Favorite parks or spots to #catcharip?
My favorite spot is a ditch called The Wave.
You've been battling a back injury for almost ten years, how have you dealt with it? What helps you skate through the pain?
Skating just feels so damn good. My back tends to go out 3-5 times per year but it was really bad in 2016 and the beginning of this year. A month or so after injury I start to feel okay so I just gotta hop on a board and skate. It's like meditating in a way because I'm not thinking about anything else. The worst days of my life have always ended with me going skating and completely clearing my head. That's why I keep doing it.
Any thanks, shout outs, or things you'd like to add?
Thanks would be to Tactics obvs. Thanks to my wife for filming even when it takes me an hour to land a trick. Shout out to all the locals of Hilltop Skatepark in CC, TX. The only 100% consistent part of my skate set up for the last 4-5 years is riding Mini Logo trucks, I'll give them a shout out for that!
