Comments about Lib Tech Burtner's Box Scratcher BTX Snowboard:

This board was way better than I was expecting. Before I hopped on it I was worried it was going to be a little too soft. However, it wasn't! I didn't have any issues with washing out that can happen with other rocker boards.

This board is GREAT on rails! The flex is a little softer with out being too soft. You can put a lot of weight into your presses without having to worry about falling forward or backward. Also, the magnatraction was pretty awesome. I detuned my edges quite a bit and still have great traction on the hardpack.

Super great board! I reccommend trying it out for sure!

      • Q:

Hi - I have the 2013 Burtner's Box Scratcher and I'm a little confused on whether I should detune or not. I emailed Mervin directly and they said it doesn't come factory detuned, however, the edges don't seem to be very sharp at all. I'm going to be using this for half park/jib, half all-mountain. Should I still detune? If so, what part of the board should I detune. There's no edge on the tip and tail, so I'm wondering if I should detune outside the bindings, inside the bindings, both, or not at all?

Thanks so much for you help!

i would personally go ride the board first and find out what catches the most for you while you are riding and go from there.
