Features

Ride Style

Commuter - Longboards for general cruising, ideal for experienced skaters and beginners alike. Never make the boring mistake of walking again!

Carving - Deep carves, boardwalk cruising and mellow hills are calling you. You'll find the longest wheelbases in this category meant for big turns and big fun.

Freestyle - Freestyle is all about expression so you'll see a wide variety of flex, shape and length in this category. If you have longboard dancing and flat-ground trick goals, you're on the right page.

Mounting Style

Drop Through - Drop Through boards lower your center of gravity giving you a more responsive and stable ride.

Nose & Tail Features

Double Kicks - With a kicktail at the nose and tail of the board, ollies and flip tricks will become part of your arsenal. Double kicks are most often found on freestyle boards, but can add versatility to any skateboard.

Deck Profile

Camber - Camber gives you a charged feeling underfoot and better leverage for turns. They can feel a bit more like a spring at first but any rider will appreciate how this makes the board responsive.

Deck Shape

Symmetrical - If you ever think you want to ride your board backwards (freeride/freestyle) then a symmetrical longboard shape will help you with the learning curve. Other than that, it's all preference.

Deck Features

Cutouts - Cutouts around the wheels provide the extra space required to prevent wheelbite.

Concave

Mild Concave - Most longboards have a mild concave to give your feet natural curves to lock into. Choosing the right concave can be tough because it's all personal preference but mild concave is always a good place to start.

Deck Features

Tan Tien Construction - Complex contours and a camber profile work together to create a super responsive longboard.

Flex Options

Tan Tien Flex 1 (up to 270 lbs) - The stiffest flex has the most energy potential and more stability at higher speeds but will not be as forgiving and lively when cruising. The Flex 1 is considerably stiffer and is appropriate for heavier riders and hard-pounding thrashers alike.

Tan Tien Flex 2 (130-210+ lbs) - Keep in mind that a softer flex pattern will give you more control and tighter turns at slower speeds and make it easier to slide, but tends to lose stability slightly at higher speeds. Stiffer flex means more energy potential, more stability at higher speeds, and better longevity through abusive tricks and aerial landings, but will not be as forgiving and lively when cruising.

Tan Tien Flex 3 (80-170+ lbs) - Keep in mind that a softer flex pattern will give you more control and tighter turns at slower speeds and make it easier to slide, but tends to lose stability slightly at higher speeds. Stiffer flex means more energy potential, more stability at higher speeds, and better longevity through abusive tricks and aerial landings, but will not be as forgiving and lively when cruising.

Grip

Custom Pre-Grip - This board comes pre-gripped from Loaded with an aggressive black griptape designed to provide maximum coverage while allowing the board to flex naturally, providing enhanced traction and control for sliding and pumping, as well as creating a serious "lock-in" on the nose and tail.

More Info

Tan Tien Setup Tips - Loaded has designed the drop-thru to accommodate the Randal R-II, Paris, Bear, Gullwing Charger and Tracker Fastrack Longboard Trucks. All reverse-kingpin trucks work well on this board, but at least a 180mm wide (10" axle) truck is recommended.

When setting up trucks we recommend using a 1/16" shock pad between the base plate and the deck as well as washers between the nut and the deck.

Additional Setup Tips - Play around with kingpin tightness to adjust the looseness of the trucks. There are a lot of new bushings coming to market and they can make a huge difference in the ride. Also, try adding riser pads to your board if you want more leverage over your trucks. Go out and experiment.
