Q:I would say I'm a beginner to intermediate rider with narrow feet trying to find some comfortable boots(220lbs). I will probably be 90% east coast groomed slope riding and minimal park riding and maybe a trip out west next year. I wear a size 13 running shoe in Nike or Asics but measure a size 12. I wore some size 12 Burton progression boots this weekend that seamed about right lenght wise but to big width wise and in the heal. Whats your thoughts on these synapse boa boots or would you recommend something different? Everything I'm reading says the Salomons are good for narrow feet but not sure there is anyone near me that carries them to try them. Do you have any bindings on sale that would go good with them. I have a Ride 165 Fleetwood board(red/white).
A:We also agree that Salomon does run a bit narrow. And this pair is nice and stiff, which is good for bigger riders. If the size 12 Burton boots fit nicely, I think you'll be good with a size 12 Salomon. And I recommend a stiffer binding for you too. Check out the Rome Targas, the Ride Capo, the Burton Diode, or the Union SL.
