PRECISION HAND-SHAPED WATERPROOF TECHLITE CORE:

A TL2 begins with a fused cell, virtually waterproof, Techlite blank. The shape of each blank is identical to its original master. Built from a high tolerance mold, the Techlite blank is hand finished to become the core of a fresh new TL2.

INTERIOR FIBERGLASS LAMINATION:

Each core goes through a vacuum bagging process where it is wrapped in epoxy, fiberglass, and Acrylite. Vacuum bagging ensures a superior glass job by evenly spreading the resin across the board while removing any air or excess resin. Acrylite is a tough, bright white closed cell, shapeable foam. Found only in TL2 surfboards, it both makes the TL2 tough while providing "Variable Flex Engineering" giving the blank the desired flex and drive.

ACRYLITE SANDWICH LAMINATE:

The composite blank is hand tuned by skilled craftsmen. Carefully checked for proper rail and rocker measurement, these blanks can be fined tuned if needed to insure exact dimensions. The finished blank only goes to the next step after being scrutinized by Surftech finishing shapers, who have worked as ghost shapers for the most respected surfboard labels in the world.

HOT COAT AND HAND TUNED:

Epoxy resin is used to hot coat each board. The hot coat provides a smooth surface for sanding and tuning each board.

SANDED GLOSS COAT:

Each new TL2 is sanded by hand and tuned to perfection. Perfectly curved rails transition to precise tight edges towards the tail. The board is then glossed and finish sanded to ensure longevity.
