Comments about Vans Chauffeur Shoes - (birds) shitake/buckthorn brown:
There are a lot of negative comments about these regarding comfort, but I think they're misplaced. Boat shoes aren't designed for cushion or arch support. They're thin, light, and flat and sticky soled for good traction on wet boardwalks and boat decks. That said, they feel plenty comfortable with no socks on a hot day. They're tight without being too tight, they're thin but somehow strong and well-reinforced. Other boat shoes like Sperry always rub either my heels or ankles and these don't. Would I walk a couple miles in them? Probably not, because they're not designed for that, but it's not going to hurt you either. When I'm ready for more boat shoes or just Vans I will definitely hit up Tactics. Thanks!
Comments about Vans Chauffeur Shoes - navy/mineral yellow:
These shoes were hell to find. Could not find them in my size(9) anywhere. Found them super cheap at 16 dollars below retail. I am completely satisfied and know that i will buy here more often. Shipping was fast seeing as i ordered them on a Friday or Saturday and received them on that Wednesday!. Unfortunately i fractured my foot that Tuesday but starting next week(after a month) ill be wearing my shoes!!
