These incredible insulated snow pants give you a full helping of technical features without the inflated price. A dependable waterproof rating along with fully taped seams create a solid seal against incoming snow. They've also got enough storage space to handle all of the goodies that you take to the mountain, but if you tend to overdo it, that's really more on you, don't blame the pants, the pants are fine.
Fully Taped - Having outerwear with fully taped seams means that on the inside of the jacket all the seams are covered in tape to provide the most effective waterproofing. It can be considered a key feature if you live in a wet climate or are planning on wearing the jacket during heavy rains. The downside is that due to the full taping there is less breathability than you'd experience with critically taped seams.
Polyester Fill - Polyester insulation may not be as warm or light as down, but it's far easier to clean and performs better in wet conditions. If cost is a concern or you live in a wet climate then polyester insulation might be your best option.
Synthetic insulation is measured in grams, so a jacket with a 80g rating simply means that a 1 meter by 1 meter piece of that particular jacket's insulation weighs 80 grams. The higher the rating, the warmer the outerwear.
Cordura® - Stylish durability and exceptional strength-to-weight ratio: Cordura® fabric is resistant to tears, scuffs and abrasions all while offering higher performance versus commodity polyester and nylon.
Cordura® Cuff Guard - Reinforced heel protection at the bottom inside lining of snow pants.
Horseshoe Hem - The upward curved shape along the back pant leg hem opening.
InfiDRY® 2-Layer Construction - 686 2-Layer InfiDRY® fabric is perfect for daily use in a wide range of conditions. Specialty fabrics are laminated and bonded to a Polyurethane (PU) InfiDRY® membrane on the underside of the fabric. This membrane blocks water and snow from entering your garment, yet is hydrophilic on the inside - attracting any moisture inside your jacket (sweat) and moving it through to the outside of the fabric where it is able to evaporate, thus keeping you both dry and warm.
For further protection, the laminated fabric is then coated on the exterior with a water resistant DWR coating to repel snow and water from penetrating the fabric. This creates a superior fabric with a one-way portal for moisture that is virtually impenetrable from the outside, yet allows your body’s sweat to evaporate and pass through the fabric from the inside out creating a more comfortable riding experience.
