Overview
Adidas is hitting the courts again with a further enhanced version of the Matchcourt RX, offering a clean high-top silhouette in an extremely durable form. These shoes utilize heavy-duty suede at the heel and toe, reinforced with a premium rubber toecap to extend their lifetime. The vulcanized outsole feels broken in right out of the box and provides incredible board feel, leaving you with nothing short of being your new favorite skate shoe.

Sole

Vulcanized - “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. The sole consists of several layers of rubber, glued together then attached to the upper with rubber foxing tape. Vulcanized soles don’t provide as much foot protection or support as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.

Details

EVA Sockliner - Similar to the PU sockliner, the Eva sockliner hugs your foot, adding much needed cushioning and support.

High Abrasion Suede - Dramatically increases life span of the upper.

The ankle padding in these looks a bit more substantial than the regular rx high, is that accurate?
Answered by James D (Tactics Employee) on 7/26/2017
Yes, the RX2 upper padding was recreated from an Adidas basketball shoe from the 80's. This padding gives the shoe a safer and comfier feel to prevent unwanted ankle rolls. The regular RX has no padding in the upper at all. Under our photos we also have an in depth review video for this product, if you'd like to check it out.
