Overview

If you're scoping out your favorite Pro-rider setups, there is one board that almost the entire Arbor Highland Team has on their short-list. The Shakedown. Paris 169mm trucks and 61mm wheels in 78a durometer make for a fun and smooth ride. The hybrid deck is marvelously versatile, with just the right amount of skateboard features and just the right amount of longboard features. Take this setup to get slappy-happy on the curbs outside your doorstep, down a steep-grade doing standees, for the thrill through hills and switchback corners, to launch a fat frontside out of the bowl at your favorite skatepark without ever having to change anything on your board. Skate everything.

Ride Style

Commuter - Longboards for general cruising, ideal for experienced skaters and beginners alike. Never make the boring mistake of walking again!

Freeride - Featuring concaves that create pockets for your feet and shorter wheelbases, freeride boards are meant to make power slides as natural as your choice to skate.

Freestyle - Freestyle is all about expression so you'll see a wide variety of flex, shape and length in this category. If you have longboard dancing and flat-ground trick goals, you're on the right page.

Mounting Style

Top Mount - The classic skate mount. Trucks are mounted from the top to sit flush with the bottom of the board for that proven ride and feel.

Deck Profile

Standard - Standard decks are the most predictable and some swear they break-in better than other profiles. Great for any skill level.

Deck Shape

Directional - Directional decks may have a dramatically asymmetrical shape or just a slight taper which can be great for anything from mild cruising to intense downhill; but of course it's all just preference.

Nose & Tail Features

Double Kicks - With a kicktail at the nose and tail of the board, ollies and flip tricks will become part of your arsenal. Double kicks are most often found on freestyle boards, but can add versatility to any skateboard.

Deck Features

Wheel Wells/Flares - For the boards that don't need full wheel cutouts, wheel wells are beveled out of the board to give the extra clearance needed to avoid wheelbite.

Concave

Medium Concave - Medium concave shows as a slight rise towards the edges of the deck. Choosing the right concave can be tough because it's all personal preference but you can't go wrong if you don't already have a preference.

Deck Thickness

7-Ply - This is the standard for a reason; 7 ply construction gives you a deck that is durable, sturdy and poppy without breaking the bank.

Deck Construction

Maple + Walnut Construction - Hardrock maple and a finish ply of Black Walnut, all of which are sustainably sourced. Walnut wood is naturally dense and helps provide a durable top layer below your feet.

Trucks

Paris Street 169mm Trucks - Paris Street trucks are taller than standard conventional trucks to accommodate bigger wheels while providing better maneuverability and improved turns. The bottom line: you get a better ride, every time.

- 356.2 virgin aluminum gravity molded baseplate and hanger

- Secondary heat treatment process for added strength and durability

- Grade 8 axles and branded kingpins

- 6 hole pattern – new school and old school

- 93A Divine urethane bushings

- Tall – 57.15 mm axle height for added wheel size capability

Bearings

ABEC 5 Bearings with Spacers - A smooth, long-lasting glide. Spacers are included to evenly distribute pressures, lengthening the life of your bearings.

Wheels

All Arbor Wheels are made from an environmentally friendly sucrose-based, bio-urethane formula that reduces Arbor's reliance on harmful synthetic materials, without sacrificing an ounce of performance.

61mm (78a) Bogart Wheels - Slightly offset mini-cruiser wheels for around-town skating. Bogarts feature a wider footprint than most mini wheels, making them roll smoother on rough surfaces, while still providing freeride performance for smaller boards.

Arbor Series

Arbor Foundation Series - Easy-ridin' mini and mid-length cruisers inspired by the craftsmanship and surf heritage of early skateboarders.

Details

Recycled Plastic Risers - All Arbor completes are shipped with recycled plastic risers, which reduces the dependence on petroleum-based plastics.

Eco-Conscious Efforts - All wood by-products created during the production are reclaimed for use in other Arbor products or by outside companies. Each board is produced with a water-based sanding sealer and final finish to avoid air pollution.
