You don't always need a jacket rated for the South Pole. With today's fabric technology you can get something that looks like a regular street jacket, but works on the mountain too. The Dunmore's waterproofing and breathability rating (10,000mm and 10,000g respectively) are ideal for 95% of what you deal with when you're snowboarding and you probably wouldn't want to be outside in the last 5% anyways. Features like a media pocket in a protected sleeve, a waist gaiter with Jacket-to-Pant interface, and the toasty warm Living Lining™ work to keep you amped up when you're shredding the gnar-gnar. To make this even more versatile, the hood and gaiter can be removed so get this jacket and enjoy all the tech benefits of the times we live in while looking low-key.
Utilizing advanced materials (all stamped with the DRYRIDE seal of approval), rigorous testing, and team input, DRYRIDE continues to evolve their technology to keep up with snowboarding’s progression.
DRYRIDE 2L Durashell™ - Features technical weatherproofing and breathable properties in a buttery soft yet bomber package. Various insulation and lining systems can be incorporated to fine-tune the overall warmth, comfort, and breathability of the garment.
Critically Taped - On outerwear with critically taped seams you only have taping at the key points where potential leakage can occur. This is acceptable, or even advantageous if you live in a dry climate, if you're more concerned with breathability than dealing with wet weather then outerwear featuring critically taped seams is the way to go.
Thermolite® - Thermolite® insulation is comprised of hollow-core fibers that trap in air for light, yet heavy-duty performance.
Synthetic insulation is measured in grams, so a jacket with a 80g rating simply means that a 1 meter by 1 meter piece of that particular jacket's insulation weighs 80 grams. The higher the rating, the warmer the outerwear.
Recycled Polyester - Approximately 31% of plastic bottles produced in the United States are made from a material called PolyEthylene Terephtalate, "PET" or "PETE." Usually clear or green, the plastic is mostly used for consumer goods such as soda bottles and food jars, but once recycled and processed, it has a wide variety of eco-friendly applications. While recycling is not the end-all, be-all solution for ridding the world of the plastic bag beast, it is a sustainable path for plastic products and takes less energy to produce than traditional polyester.
YKK® Water Resistant Zippers - YKK® matte water-resistant zippers for smoother performance and better drape, a cleaner finish, and overall higher strength.
Living Lining™ - Thermo-Regulating Technology works within a three-layer system, reacting to your body heat for regulated comfort.
Magic Stitch Removable Waist Gaiter - The powder skirt can be permanently removed by simply undoing one stitch.
Lifetime Warranty - Burton Snowboards warrants all Clothing, Outerwear, Bags, and Luggage sold by Burton to be free of defects in materials or workmanship for the practical lifetime of the product. Damage due to misuse, abuse, accidents, neglect, and wear and tear that can be reasonably expected as a result of extended use over time, are not covered by this Limited Lifetime Warranty but may be repaired at a reasonable cost.
Chafe Free Collar - Extra soft tricot liner to protect your face.
Jacket to Pant Interface - Connect your jacket to your pants for better protection from the elements.
