This member of the family is all grown-up, are you ready for it? It's a board that floats through powder and charges down chutes. Burton is kind of secretive when it comes to the materials they use to build their boards, but we do know a lot went into this one without the board being heavy.
The Squeezebox profile focuses energy from between your feet to the edges of the board using thinner layers between your feet and thicker layering right outside your feet. Furthermore, with the Super Fly II core lighter wood is put at the front of the board lending well to the directional camber profile, giving you a floaty setup for powder. And, thanks to Balanced Freeride Geometry, lighter materials are also used on the heelside of the board to help neutralize our asymmetrical bodies.
Burton boards are also put through a process before they are shipped out that breaks the board in for you, called Infinite Ride, so your setup maintains its feel from the first day on. A platform ready to cut through patches of ice and carve deep for the fastest lines, the family tree line presents Burton's most innovative shapes offered in limited runs. For the Dump Truck, it's all about backcountry life so don't forget your GPS and avalanche gear.
Directional Camber Profile - Burton's directional camber profile puts a camber profile at the back with rocker at the nose, allowing for a shorter and more maneuverable board. By moving the camber back the transition into rocker naturally lifts the board at the nose, providing you with a more floaty ride in powder and allowing you to maintain momentum and stability on those deep powder days.
Squeezebox™ Core Profile - Squeezebox is a patent-pending technology that transfers energy outward from under your feet, energizing the tip and tail for added snap when executing a turn and ollieing. Thinner core sections underfoot transitions to thicker, more powerful areas between and outside your feet for a more stable board that can be powered up and manipulated with less effort.
3 Year Warranty - Covered under manufacturer warranty for 3 years from the time of purchase! Warranty includes structural defects only and DOES NOT cover impact damage, abuse, misuse or normal wear and tear expected from aggressive riding.
Sorry folks, but bashing your board on a rock or rail does not qualify as a "manufacturer's defect" and will not be honored.
The Channel® - The Channel is an exclusive Burton mounting system using a central spine for virtually endless binding adjust-ability. Introduced in 2011, Burton has widened The Channel along with equipping it with the industry standard hardware for enhanced connection to your snowboard and further compatibility with all Burton bindings along with new compatibility for select competitor's bindings such as Union, Forum and many others (Channel-compatible disc may need to be purchased separately for some brands).
The Channel allows you to micro-adjust stance width, angle, and toe-to-heel centering with ease while at the same time dispersing energy for added rebound and snap.
Super Fly II™ 700g Core - Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight.
Dualzone™ EGD™ (Engineered Grain Direction) - The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength.
Infinite™ Ride Construction - A Burton exclusive technology allows their boards to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Spring-loaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.
45° Carbon Highlights Hi-Voltage Stringers - Carbon Highlights optimize each layer of the fiberglass matrix and adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce overall weight and fine-tune torsional feel to achieve different ride characteristics. A 45° fiber angle provides a more aggressive ride.
Sintered WFO Base - Infusing a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material results in an ultra-durable base that stays Wide F!#@ing Open all season in any condition.
Snowboard Magazine Platinum Pick - Snowboard Magazine has chosen this product as a Platinum Pick. This award recognizes companies that are pushing the boundaries in design, materials, fashion and technology to bring you better products each year.
Pro-Tip™ - A tapered tip and tail thickness that reduces swing weight for easier mobility.
Stainless Steel Edges - Get superior defense against rust and corrosion for edges that remain razor-sharp.
Balanced Freeride Geometry - Balanced Freeride Geometry ends the debate between directional or twin board shapes with setback camber and sidecuts that are centered on your stance to create a twin freestyle feel when riding flat base. On edge it turns tight and quick with the float and prowess expected from a directional deck.
Super Sap® Epoxy - Resin formulated with bio-based materials, reducing the carbon footprint by 50% over conventional petroleum-based epoxies. Less oil consumption means even less of a carbon footprint per board.
