Overview
As a member of the Burton family, these boots get the royal treatment. Everything from grippy soles to Speed Zone™ lacing on the outside with a superior liner liner system on the inside will keep you in control while you charge down the mountain. You don't have to be a pro to get the benefits they developed. Take the foil underneath the liner for example, this allows you to have a thinner liner that doesn't pack out as easily while still keeping your toes toasty. Then there are the S4 Shell panels that give this boot a natural flex. Oh, and don't forget the Aegis™ antimicrobial coating used so your boots will stay fresh season after season. Treat yourself to a sturdy, mid-flex boot, and feel the difference. You'll never rent beat-up boots again.

Key Features

Speed Zone™ Lacing System - The Speed Zone Lacing System features streamlined, profiled lace guides for increased performance and improved durability. The system retains lightning fast lacing control by allowing you to customize the fit of the upper and lower zones in seconds. More power means more rebound, wrap and response with less lacing effort.

New England Rope laces add a virtually indestructible character worthy of Burton's Lifetime Warranty.

S4 Shell Panels - Superlight and resilient. Strategically placed S4 shell panels evenly distribute strap pressure to maximize rebound while resisting breakdown for consistent boot flex, season after season.

Sleeping Bag Reflective Foil Underfoot - This low-profile and lightweight foil underneath your liner reflects heat back to the feet, improving both warmth and comfort when faced with cold conditions.

Shrinkage Footprint Reduction Technology - Shrinkage reduces the boot's overall footprint one full size, meaning a men's size 10 fits like a size 10, but has the footprint of a typical size 9. Shorter, lighter, sleeker. Never suffer from toe drag again.

Low-Profile EST Midsole Design - Lower profile, lighter weight, and with a reduced ramp angle, EST optimized soles lower your center of gravity and improve feel. Control your setup like never before without sacrificing an ounce of cushioning thanks to ultra dampening B3 Gel inserts.

EST goes beyond bindings by drawing inspiration from the surf/skate heritage of snowboarding and giving you a more direct connection to your board.

Vibram® EcoStep™ Rubber Outsole (30% Recycled) - Get the legendary grip and feel Vibram® is famous for in a lighter weight with 30% recycled construction. Includes the added rebound and cushioning of dual zone EVA and B3 Gel in the heel and toe.

Liner

Imprint 3 Liner - Heat-Moldable so whether you have funky cankles or a crazy sixth toe, rest assured that your feet will be wrapped in total comfort.

Focus Cuff Heel Hold System boosts heel-hold by hugging that sweet spot around your ankle while riding slightly higher for increased response.

Velcro J-Bar Interface allows you to add or remove support to the boot’s heel pocket for a customized fit.

Inner Lace Lock makes exiting a cinch with the one-handed release tab.

Aegis™ Antimicrobial Coating inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria. Your feet and your friends will thank you for sure.

Lightweight Power Panels ensure that your boots provide the same flex, rebound and support on day 100 as they did on day 1. They’re built using memory materials, which even after being deeply flexed, enable both the liner and shell to snap back into their original position.

Sock Lock helps fight off sliding-sock syndrome so your ankles stay sweat-free.

Rad Pad is located on the top of your instep, right where the liner laces exert the most pressure, these pre-curved panels keep your feet stoked and secure.

Velcro Liner Closure provides legendary convenience with long-lasting hold for easy open and close action.

Level 2 Molded EVA Footbed offers enhanced arch support, improved response, and even more shock absorbing power.

ESS Support Shank adds support to reduce fatigue while preventing your arch from collapsing on itself when you bomb drop a 40-footer.

Aegis Antimicrobial Coating - Inhibits foul odors. Your feet (and your friends) will thank Burton for sure. Look for Aegis on select liners and footbeds.

Shell

Firm Flex Thin Profile 3D Molded Tongue - Adjusting the profile of the tongue's thickness controls its flex, enhances its ability to wrap the forefoot, and reduces shell/liner stack up for improved comfort. Offered in soft, medium, and firm flexing options based on the ride of each boot.

PowerUP Tongue - This dual density tongue offers greater response than the previous Thin Profile 3D Molded tongue with improved rebound and durability.

Snow-Proof Internal Tongue Gusset - All Burton boot tongues have been upgraded with an internal gusset construction to completely seal the lower zone of the boot, keeping feet warm and dry.

Sole

B3 Gel Sole Cushioning - Ultimate dampening formulated to withstand repeated impacts without breaking down.

Rubber Ice Spikes - Soft and grippy with stiffer spikes that dig into ice when slipping isn't an option.

Details

Total Comfort Construction - Get an instantly broken in feel right out of the box. Total Comfort's new industry exclusive toe box construction eliminates the break in period for a fit that feels just as good from shop floor to season opener, and every day thereafter.

1:1 Boot Lasting - Every Burton liner is factory molded with the "Last" inside the shell to ensure a superior, out-of-box fit with precise, liner-to-shell integration. 1:1 lasting means that every half and full size liner gets a matching half and full size shell and outsole for the best possible fit with the smallest possible footprint.

1 Year Warranty - Covered under manufacturer warranty for 2 years from the time of purchase. Warranty includes manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship only and DOES NOT cover damage due to normal wear and tear, damage from resting your board's edge on your boot while on the chairlift, or damage caused by any modification done outside the manufacturer's facility.

Excellent boot for the price

Burton Imperial Snowboard Boots - black/red
Boot fits very well. Significantly less heel lift than other boots that I have owned, Though it is not eliminated completely. All of the drawstrings do their jobs very well, so getting a nice snug fit is relatively easy. These boots are much lighter and less bulky than other models I have owned, which is good considering I have size 13 feet.

Great moderately stiff boot

Burton Imperial Snowboard Boots (Closeout) - black/green/red
Disclaimer, I have only worn these inside since it's August here in FL. I am comparing these boots to the Burton Ambush which were my first boots. The Imperial has more distal foot and toe room even though the exterior dimensions subjectively are the same. For me, with a slightly wider foot, the Imperial is immediately more comfortable for my feet. The Imperials integrate with my Genesis bindings better too. Also, there is better heal grab. Finally, these boots are moderately stiff compared to the Ambush which is good for a boarder that is advancing in skills. I like my older Ambush boots but now that I have the Imperials, I am not looking back.

Even faster and more customizable than the Boa Focus system on some boots.
