Sole

Vulcanized - “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. The sole consists of several layers of rubber, glued together then attached to the upper with rubber foxing tape. Vulcanized soles don’t provide as much foot protection or support as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.

Details

Converse All Star Traction Rubber - Converse maintains their iconic blue outsole and has updated their classic Converse vulcanized rubber compound to increase board traction for today's skateboarder and offers 70% increased griptape traction

Lunarlon Insole - Developed within Nike Running, Lunarlon Insoles incorporate space-age technology for maximum comfort and support in all types of skating. The insole provides a responsive cushion bed, protecting your feet from multiple impacts without dampening the connection between you and the board.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Pro Skate Shoes - black/black/storm wind
classic con but low and suede, all black except for gold topmost lace holes and natural rubber bottoms, I switched out the insole for Kingfoams, they have great board feel and skate great. A little on the thin side could use some padding but that's just my preference.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Pro Skate Shoes - black/black (canvas)
Had trouble finding this shoe and was ecstatic to find it at Tactics! I'm truly hoping this doesn't mean that Converse will stop producing this one (Take note Converse) as I have been buying it for years. The shoe is nice and flat (toe doesn't point up like most Converse). Comfortable fit and I love that everything on the entire shoe is black!!

Asked by Eric D on 12/24/2016
I had the Trapasso Pro II before and a 9.5 was slightly too big, do you think since it had the chuck sole, a 9 would be perfect in these?
Answered by James D (Tactics Employee) on 12/29/2016
That sounds about right. I generally wear a 9.5 in skate shoes, but skate in 8.5's for chucks. I might recommend trying a whole size down from the shoe size you wear in most other brands.

Asked by Justin on 6/5/2016
I'm interested in buying a new pair suede chucks. Is the fit true to the size or should I buy them a half size smaller like the old chucks before Nike bought them?
Answered by Elijah W (Tactics Employee) on 6/6/2016
A half size smaller is perfect. Had to do the same with mine. Even though they are manufactured by Nike they go off relatively similar blueprints for the shoe.

Asked by Andre on 4/30/2016
How's the sizing on these compared to the Pappalardo's? I used to wear a size 11 in those while I normally wear a size 12 in other shoes.
Answered by James D (Tactics Employee) on 5/17/2016
Chuck Taylors are traditionally a longer fit. I usually wear a 10 in other shoes and I wear a 9 in these. They have a long and narrow fit though so if you like your shoes to have room for width don't get something too small.

Asked by D on 10/5/2013
So if I normally wear a 13 should I order a 12 ?
Answered by Kayla P (Tactics Employee) on 10/24/2013
You should usually go a half size down in Converse

Asked by Mo on 7/31/2013
How's the sizing of these? Do they run larger like most Converse usually do?
Answered on 8/14/2013
no, they are sized like most converse are sized. for example, if you normally wear a 9 in most shoes, you would wear an 8.5 in this shoe.
