Ride Style

Commuter - Commuter boards cover a wide range. Whether you're cruising to the store on a beverage run or crossing from suburbs to downtown and back on the daily, commuting boards are made to make your life a litter easier and a lot more fun.

Shorter boards in this category make up the cruising department. Some have functional kicktails, but they're still made to fit large wheels so you won't get hung up on any rocks. Some are even small enough they can fit in lockers or under a work desk.

Longer boards are made for distance skaters. With features like rocker, flex, and anything to lower your center of gravity, commuting boards make skating feel like you have your own cloud underfoot. These boards are really great for beginners and experienced riders alike.

Never make the boring mistake of walking again, get your commute on.

Freeride - Much of skateboarding has been created by people who push the envelope on what is thought to be possible. Freeride is a direct result of this. Slide pucks and buttery wheels are your best friends once you have freeride on your mind. Often featuring concave that create pockets for your feet and shorter wheelbases, freeride boards are meant to make power slides as natural as your choice to skate.

Mounting Style

Drop Through - Drop Through boards lower your center of gravity, giving you a more responsive and stable ride. Trucks are mounted through the board and truck bases will sit either flush or slightly above the deck surface. Great for high speed assaults or even cruising around town to your local watering hole.

Note: If assembling yourself, you'll first need to remove your longboard truck hanger from its base by unscrewing the kingpin. Once separated, reassemble the trucks through the mounting area (sandwiching the board between the hanger/base of the truck), then tighten the kingpin nuts and you're ready to roll.

Deck Profile

Rocker - The rocker profile can be seen from the side and is identified as a slight smile. Rocker decks are great for both downhill and freeride. You'll feel snug and secure on a rocker profile and this is especially useful for freeride beginners.

Deck Shape

Directional - Directional boards might have concave towards the front, maybe the tail is tapered, it could be shaped to have a fatter nose than tail, and it probably feels awkward if you hop on backwards. However, when you want to pump a board, or you want to have something that sets you up for the fastest line, directional boards are great. Whether you are looking for a really responsive directional board for carving and cruising or a precision downhill deck, a directional board could be in your future.

Deck Features

Cutouts - With big wheels you need lots of room to carve and dig into turns, cutouts around the wheels provide the extra space required to prevent wheelbite while cutouts for your trucks appear on drop through decks so you can ride closer to the ground.

W-Concave - With the right concave underfoot you'll feel you can skate anything. Concavity can be seen if you look at a board straight down the nose to the tail and W-concave looks like the letter W, makes sense right? Breaking away into a slide becomes easier with this style because you have a little more support where your toes/heels will anchor.

Deck Construction

8-Ply Hard Rock Maple Construction - 8 plies of hard-rock maple, sandwiched together for solid stiffness. The end result is a flowing ride with little flex. Hard rock maple construction creates durable, long lasting boards with great impact resistance. Alternating peeled veneer layers are laminated with water resistant glue under high pressure to form the structural laminate of a skateboard. Maple is a high density wood that's naturally water resistant and low maintenance.

Truck Options

Atlas Ultralight 180mm Reverse Kingpin Trucks - Still sporting all the signature Atlas features - a machined ball pivot, tapered kingpin, built-in speed rings - the Atlas Ultralight trucks are the best value on the market. The Ultralight features an 8mm axle through the hanger and eliminates additional aluminum making it 20% lighter than the original Atlas.

With a cone bushing on the board side, matched with a cone bushing on the roadside, this truck is perfect for cruising, carving and freeriding. Standard 48° baseplates, 180mm hangers, and 89a Atlas barrel bushings. Each truck weighs in at 1.1lbs.

Atlas 48° Ultralight Reverse Kingpin Trucks - The Atlas RKP is the new standard for reverse kingpin longboard trucks. The precision ball pivot, 10mm-8mm axle, and threaded self-cleaning pivot cup offer a ride that is almost indistinguishable from trucks at 5x the price. Innovation at last.

The Atlas Truck Set comes ready to ride with standard 48-degree baseplates, 180mm hangers, 89a Atlas barrel bushings and each truck weighs 1.4 pounds each.

Wheel Options

65mm Cloud Ride Street Cruisers - Soft and gooey, these wheels have great grip for cornering and easily rolls over cracks, small rocks, and rough surfaces without tripping you up.

Bearings

ABEC 7 Bearings with Spacers - These bearings are durable, fast, and precise for a long life and a smooth roll. A great choice for any type of riding.
