British Millerain is the world's premier manufacturer of waxed cotton. Developed and refined over a century, this material is made to meet the high demands of armed forces personnel. That is why HUF chose to use Millerain's Bushwax 4 material on two of its colorways for its Classic Hi skate shoe. This water resistant canvas provides the look and feel of a waxed product, with the convenience of machine washing.
Along with the upgraded material, the HUF Classic Hi still provides the same high quality features it always has. Vulcanized construction and a Perf-shock insole provide excellent board feel, support, and impact absorption. The rubber toe cap adds prolonged grip and flick while a rubber heel clip prevents blowouts and improves stability. Huff also designed a unique outsole which features a specialty tread pattern, reducing wear in key areas.
An already excellent shoe now made with material fit for the armed forces, the HUF Classic Hi x British Milerain colab brings a new level of durability to the skate world.
Vulcanized - “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. The sole consists of several layers of rubber, glued together then attached to the upper with rubber foxing tape. Vulcanized soles don’t provide as much foot protection or support as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.
Rubber Toe Cap - Adds durability and a unique look.
Perf-Shock Insole - Dual-density shock absorbent foot-bed featuring cored out perforations in the heel section. The perforations help alleviate weight from the sock-liner while retaining impact cushioning.
Rubber Heel Clip - Provides a more stable heel lock, and better fit.
