Capita Black Snowboard of Death 2018 Rider Review
As the name implies, the Capita Black Snowboard of Death is an aggressive board for charging heavy lines in and out of the resort. A beefed up construction over last years model gives it stronger stability and edge hold in variable conditions. Tactics lead designer Trever Hayes surfed one through some deep mashed potatoes at Mt. Bachelor and was impressed by the way it handled in the challenging conditions. The shape and profile have also been retooled for the 17/18 season to favor directional float with camber between the feet, rocker in the nose, and a very slight amount of rocker in the tail. This gives you the power and pop of traditional camber while elevating the nose for more natural float in deep snow. If you ride hard and fast around the whole mountain and love cranking out boosty methods, but aren't concerned with getting too fancy in the park, the Black Snowboard of Death is calling your name.
