Ripper of the Week: Brandon L. | #Catcharip
Congratulations to #RipperoftheWeek Brandon L. of Whitefish, Montana! Brandon grew up in the Minnesota flat lands before following the dream and moving to MT to ride big mountain terrain. When cruising his Instagram we found a good variety of park clips, pow lines, and a hefty taco for good measure. When someone in the comments had nothing better to do than play "cool police", Brandon kept his head up and let him know that snowboarding is about having fun and stoking off each other, not bringing each other down. That's the vibe we want to send to all of you out there, so we're hyped to put Brandon in the spotlight this week. We've got a pair of Burton Gore-Tex Mitts and one of our new Tactics Rose Beanies headed his way! Get to know Brandon in the quick Q&A below and give him a follow at @brandontlee47 to check more clips!
Keep your entries coming and you could be next week's winner! Remember, winners aren't chosen by their skill but by their creativity, style, stoke, and most importantly, how much fun they're having.
Hey Brandon, how long have you been ripping?
I've been riding for about seven years.
Favorite mountains or spots to #catcharip?
I'm from Minnesota, grew up riding Trollhaugen and decided to move out west to Montana to be a ski bum. Now I ride Whitefish Mountain and anything jibbable in the streets.
What do you tell haters who say, "Trust me, I know what's cool and what's not cool"?
There is no cool and uncool when it comes to snowboarding. It's about being creative and doing whatever the hell you want. That's why I love it so much. Haters gonna hate.
Right on man, that's what #catcharip is all about. Any thanks, shout outs, or things you'd like to add?
Shout out to Andrew Alvarez (@a.alcatraz) who I mentioned in my post. Also shoutout to the dude on "cool patrol" in the comments for creating a buzz, haha.
