Riley Hawk's second pro model, the Riley 2, is a unique lace-able slip-on skate shoe featuring a seamless toe panel that has been extended to prevent blowouts, nylon heel tabs for easy foot entry, and optional lace loops to provide an optimal fit. The premium Deluxe-Lite insoles were installed for superior comfort, and the Para-Mount outsoles were added to absorb high impacts and reduce foot fatigue. Don't skip out when it comes to your skate shoes. Slip into a pair of Riley 2's and hit the streets in style.
Primary Upper Materials
Nylon Heel Tabs
Vulcanized - “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. The sole consists of several layers of rubber, glued together then attached to the upper with rubber foxing tape. Vulcanized soles don’t provide as much foot protection or support as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.
Elastic Gussets - Hidden interior elastic gussets for locked in fit.
Delux-Lite Sockliner - Uses premium foam that never packs out and is designed with a deep contour heel and arch for superior comfort.
Para-Mount Advanced Density Outsole - Para-Mount outsole technology utilizing dual density rubber to absorb high impact and reduce fatigue.
Reinforced in arch and medial sidewall for added protection and support.
Will be buying many more pairs

Lakai Riley 2 Skate Shoes
My new go to shoe since Emerica got rid of the 1st figgy shoe. Pretty much a slip on shoe with laces. Fits true to size. Lakai definitely improved from Riley's 1st shoe. The sizing fits a lot better and is more true to size. The suede is also improved too. The 1st shoe Riley had the suede and heel area were really stiff. The break in period for the 1st shoe was a lot longer then most other shoes i've tried. This 2nd shoe however, zero break in time needed. The shoe and suede is SUPER comfortable. The Suede just forms to your foot. I can't quite comment on durability yet since I haven't been skating in them long enough. So far I'd say they are holding up about "average" compared to other vulc shoes. Maybe a little better. Like I said still to early to tell. I love the way they set the laces though. They have the laces so far up that I haven't rip any yet, when normally I would have by now. The suede is also set back pretty far as well (speaking about the ollie area). So glad these came out the same time as the figgy dose came out. I tend to like slimmer shoes. These shoes are slim and lower profile with out being too narrow or long. I'd say go true to size with laces and maybe half size down with no laces.

Lakai Riley 2 Skate Shoes
First off, let me say I disagree with the review that said they run big. The size 9 actually felt too small at first compared to the size 9 Manchesters and Flacos I skated. They did stretch out, though, and now feel perfect. You want it a little snug to be able to wear without laces, anyway. This shoe is a huge step up in quality for Lakai. The insole is the best they've ever done. Thicker in the heel, thin forefoot, good arch support. Think like a lower profile Vans ultracush insole. Outsole is the best they've ever done. Insanely grippy. Looks great with or without laces. Pointier toe than my past Lakais. The burgundy is beautiful in person and I can't wait to buy multiple pairs of the pine suede... My favorite color of all time. If you haven't skated Lakais in awhile, give these or the Bristols a shot. They really are on par with the big four shoe brand in terms of quality, comfort and skateability.

Lakai Riley 2 Skate Shoes - black suede
I normally wear a 10.5 in most skate shoes. But after these broke in, I wished I had ordered a 10 because now they feel floppy and not secure on my feet.
