Before Nyjah Huston joined the Nike SB team, no one anticipated such a lightweight, runner style shoe to be so good at skateboarding. The sleek design and all rubber build of the Nyjah Free proved the world wrong, with Nike Free and Flywire Technology for the ultimate comfort of the modern day skater. The outsoles are built with 360° complete grip and flex grooves for exquisite traction and an easy break-in period. The one-piece rubber uppers offer optimal wear when skating and the bootie construction creates that comfortable, locked-in feel that everybody loves. Pretty good for a debut pair of skate shoes.
Cupsole - Cupsoles are durable, well-cushioned and provide the best impact protection against hard landings. The sole consists of a single rubber layer, reinforced with glue then stitched to the upper. Cupsoles generally last longer than vulcanized soles, but don't provide as much flexibility and board feel right out of the box.
Complete Grip - Comes from sidewall bellows and tacky rubber outsole.
Nike Free in Forefoot - This technology promotes natural motion in the forefoot for the ultimate in comfort and flexibility.
Bootie Construction - For all day comfort; a 1-piece bootie designed for a close second-skin-like fit.
Flywire Technology - Flywire technology consists of strategically placed filaments that function like cables on a suspension bridge.
The filaments wrap the foot and attach to the outsole to hold the foot in place. This allows your foot to bend and flex for a precise fit without limiting board feel.
