The design of these Janoski Max Mid shoes is inspired by the iconic wheat boots worn by NBA players before the league's dress code took effect in 2005. They may be designed to look like work boots, but they definitely don't skate like them! The durable upper is mounted on a Phylon EVA foam midsole, which provides responsive and lightweight cushioning. A visible Air Max unit in the heel absorbs impact and the deep grooves in the sole give ample traction and flexibility. The padded collar and the two-tone laces give these shoes that iconic work boot look.
Cupsole - Cupsoles are durable, well-cushioned and provide the best impact protection against hard landings. The sole consists of a single rubber layer, reinforced with glue then stitched to the upper. Cupsoles generally last longer than vulcanized soles, but don't provide as much flexibility and board feel right out of the box.
Air Max - Part of the Nike Air family, Air Max was designed to provide maximum impact protection during repetitive landings. Shoes with Air Max feature less midsole material and larger-volume airbags for lighter weight and maximum cushioning you can see.
