Patagonia knows how to start flannels off right, the Fjord flannel jacket features a heavyweight 6.6oz organic cotton exterior combined with 60g of Thermogreen insulation so you get the style of a flannel with the power of an insulated jacket. This ensures you can look good, and stay comfortable at exactly the same time. Smart? Yes.

Thermogreen® - Lightweight 100% polyester (90% recycled) that stays warm, even when wet.
Synthetic insulation is measured in grams, so a jacket with a 80g rating simply means that a 1 meter by 1 meter piece of that particular jacket's insulation weighs 80 grams. The higher the rating, the warmer the jacket.
Regular Fit - Neither slim nor oversize. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers. Men’s regular fit pants have a slimmer fit through that thigh, lower leg, and cuff.
Organic Cotton - Grown without petroleum-based fertilizers and pesticides, organic cotton is healthier choice for the Earth, the people working in the fields and for you the consumer.
When compared to conventional cotton, organic cotton per 1,000kg of fiber used in apparel results in:
46% less CO² equivalent emissions (which are significant contributors to global warming)
70% less SO² (Sulfur Dioxide) equivalent emissions; a driver of soil acidification and thus, acid rain.
26% less PO4³ (Phosphate) equivalent; a measure of eutrophication potential (the potential for the creation of aquatic dead-zones)
62% less primary energy demand (PED), measured in MJ, from non-renewable sources like petroleum and natural gas that depend on fossil resources.
The consumption of up to 91% less non-rain water (blue water) while typically requiring less irrigation.
It is high quality, but I wish the buttons were snaps.
I do love this shirt.
