The G-Slides were built from the ground up to improve roll speed, slide-ability and durability. They have a low profile and feel at home on any type of deck set-up. Push, slap, grind, bomb and slide the hell out of them. Yes, they slide.

Perfect cruiser wheels

Powell Peralta G-Slides Skateboard Wheels
If you cruise around town and do some tricks these are the wheels you want. 59's are pretty wide, roll over most everything, don't have horrible bounce but smooth out rough roads. I'm not doing anything too advanced but they ollie up and down curbs just fine and aren't too heavy to do easier flip tricks. Roll off a sidewalk and it feels like a cushion. Slides are super controlled and mellow but obviously not as easy as on hard wheels but a lot easier than most cruiser wheels.

Powell Peralta G-Slides Skateboard Wheels
I've tried so many wheels and so many of them broke like hot juices, MINI logo AWOL, Rough Riders. The Kryptonics held up pretty well but they are offset way too much and stick out if you have matched trucks. These wheels are as advertised and it's a very controllable slide once you get it sideways. Very fast and efficient pushing. I'm no longer buying any other Street wheel. I may go with a 61 mm 78a for my cruiser but these G slides are highly recommended if you don't like really hard wheels that get hung up on Street debris.

Powell Peralta G-Slides Skateboard Wheels
I skate these on a cruiser. Been ripping around the neighborhood which is very rough and cracked. These wheels are interesting... they grip like a soft wheel but have a harder rebound from the core. For me I think a core less wheel is maybe more efficient and comfortable for chill cruising, but if you are going at it I like the locked in and tight responsive feel the cores give. The wheels are pretty fast, carve confidently, and have a controllable greasy slide, and look cool too.

Powell Peralta G-Slides Skateboard Wheels - black (85a)
I like these wheels, they are great cruiser wheels. I’ve been using them to skate everything and they work. It’s really nice to be able to go down hills and powerslide to slow down. I just put them on my regular setup and have been skating street with them. I’m sure they would would at the park but skateparks are for jocks and posers.

I needed a sturdy yet slightly bump-absorbant wheel that wouldn't rip. So far, so good.

Are these good for bowl and ramp riding?
Answered by Danny M (Tactics Employee) on 3/2/2017
These will function on a ramp or in a bowl, but they are softer wheels meant more for cruising and traversing rough terrain.
