Overview
New to Rome's lineup, the Sawtooth is setup for sculpting deep carves in groomers with their Free-the-Ride camber profile. It has camber from the tail up to your front foot, with a flat camber section to just short of the contact points where you'll find rocker at the nose to finish off the profile, helping to give you bursts of energy through the apex of each turn. The directional shape also happens to contain TurboRods milled into the core to give your freeriding vigor. The Pop Core Matrix translates to a lighter board with added responsiveness. To get the most out all this energy, the Sawtooth integrates thin bundles of carbon into a biaxial glass sandwich. For those seeking a powerful freeride that will let you rail, check out Rome's latest addition.

Key Features

Free-The-Ride - In this three-zone design, positive camber runs from the rider’s front foot to the tail of the board. Up front, a flat camber section extends from the front foot to just short of the contact points in the nose, where we put a small amount of rocker. The result is versatile responsiveness—positive camber in the mid and rear sections let you lock into and explode out of turns, while the combination of flat camber and rocker in the front of the board mix enough downward pressure for turning with nose buoyancy for floating. The positive tail also gives power for slashes and solid landing gear. Great for cranking turns on groomed and un-groomed snow.

Core

Pop Core Matrix - A smooth, dynamically-flexing poplar matrix with zones of low-density wood for high response with low weight. Providing the kick for most of the boards in the Rome line.

Laminates

90/90 Carbon Hybrid Laminate - Rome integrated thin bundles of carbon into a biaxial glass top layer, and combined it with a duplicate biaxial layer on the bottom.

Hotrods: Bamboo Single Barrel - A thin rod of snappy bamboo for added pop.

Base

SinterTrue Base - A combination of wax absorption and abrasion resistance results in gap clearing speed with solid amounts of strength.
