Riding these wheels has made me stronger, kinder, wiser, and a finer human being. My head wants big soft wheels so I don't get hung up on every crack and pebble on the mean streets of suburbia, but my heart wants small hard wheels to get the tricks. These are still hard compared to cruiser/filmer wheels… they don't coast far on rough blacktop and a pebble can still throw you. But they do make skating to the spot a tad nicer than 101s do. I also like the wider contact patch, which I think helps with the ride.
I do get wheel bite on the 53mm with Indy Forged Hollows, but only in the hardest turns and I knew that was a risk going in. Not really a knock against the wheel and worth the trade-off for me, having grown up with big 92a and 95a wheels back in the stone age.
I wish they didn't have the cheesy graphics but it's not like I couldn't see them before I bought them so, again, can't knock the wheels for my taste.

I moved to RVA three months ago, and my wheels weren’t able to deal with crusty streets and spots. I bought these based on the need for something softer. This has completely changed the feel of my setup for the better. They grip when you need them, can slide with zero effort, and have no issues riding on craggy street. They’re also fantastic at smooth parks.
These have beat out Spitfires and Bones STF/SPF by a long shot.

I mostly skate bowls and the 56mm 97a is awesome! Hard, but not rock hard like spitfire and bones....plus the colorful choices far surpass the boring white than everyone else offers...
