Featuring a Backseat Camrock profile and a setback shape, the Portal lets you steer from the rear and plow through powder like a surfboard on the waves. The large nose and mild swallowtail provide ample float while maintaining a balanced riding position in steep and deep terrain. Don't think this board is just for pow; because its length and sidecut radius, the Portal can handle all types of terrain with agility and stability.

Backseat CamRock - Backseat CamRock gives you everything you need to slay your backcountry line. There is a touch more rocker in the nose to add float and improve maneuverability, matched with a small set-back camber between the bindings to keep your snowboard responsive.
Lightweight Wood Core - This is the lighter version of the Swiss Wood Core, which uses light density Paulownia and Poplar wood. Slash adds sturdy Beech in the middle for insert retention, and on the outside next to the sidewalls for better on-edge stability.
Biax Fiberglass - Biax fiberglass is a two-way weave of fiberglass with strands running every 90°. It’s more forgiving, easier to flex and and highly versatile for all terrain types.
Triax Fiberglass - Triax fiberglass provides superior pop, consistent torsional flex, and more overall response.
Carbonbon Stringers - Carbon reinforcements are placed between the base and the core to enhance responsiveness, pop and stiffness without adding weight.
Diamond Stone Finish - Slash adds a slight diamond-structured stone grind to the base to maximize glide and optimize durability. It eliminates the slow, suction cup feel that comes with one-dimensional base finishes.
Sintered NHS Race Base - High performance ultra high molecular sintered race base with the addition of graphite. Premium base material with the best gliding characteristics and optimal durability.
Tip Protectors - Thin and light, but surprisingly strong, aluminum protectors on the tail and/or nose protect the board from the damage that can result from impacts. This small detail makes a big difference for the durability of the deck, especially if your repertoire is more park/urban focused.
Singular Sidecut - A sidecut with a single radius made for advanced / intermediate riders who already know how to carve, and want to ride fast with an edge that holds their turn.
Setback Stance - The farther back the setback stance is on a snowboard, the more weight is transferred towards the tail of the board. This extends the nose portion, which provides increased stability at high speeds and more control when riding in powder, helping you make faster turns and initiate aggressive carving.
Factory Waxed - All Slash boards are factory waxed with One Ball Jay wax and are ready to shred straight out of the wrapper.
