Rip ‘N’ Flip Forward Lean Adjuster - This is the magic ticket for giving your Highback a huge range of lean positions for touring and riding. It's tool free and micro-adjustable from 0° to 22° for complete customization. Flippin' FLAD toggles between your forward lean position and -13° touring position for easy transitions.
Pillow Line Straps - Pillow Line Straps are lightweight - 46% lighter than their fabric strap predecessors. They are ultradurable, comfortable, waterproof, and made 100% in-house. Strap pillows are thin and flexible for a comfortable, conformed fit, while thicker ribs are held off the boot and provide stiffness for a uniquely responsive ride.
Arc ankle straps have a smaller footprint than the Surge and feature a flex window for max agility while maintaining support.
The toe straps come in one construction for both Arc and Surge models, and are designed to be used as a toe cap but also fit traditionally over the top.
LT Aluminum Pin System - Weight savings add up by replacing stainless steel hardware with custom-made 7075-T6 aluminum hardware. Aluminum parts are 65% lighter than standard stainless steel parts and are made with hex drives instead of phillips heads which are less likely to strip.
CNC Machined - All Spark R&D splitboard bindings are CNC machined from billet aluminum for maximum strength.
Fusion Molded Touring Brackets - Bushings and brackets are combined in this one-piece molded design using improved material properties in the bushings which offers a more durable setup with a 40% weight reduction.
Back compatible with all Ibex crampons and previous year Tesla and T1 bindings.
Side-Lock Touring Brackets - Clog-free brackets make switchovers efficient and painless. Slide bindings from left to right onto the offset brackets, lock down the toe ramp and you’re set for touring. New Sabertooth crampon mounting claws for quick and easy installation and removal; you never even have to unstrap.
Snap Ramps - Spark R&D's hinged toe ramp design locks you into touring and ride modes with just one moving part for super fast transitions. No pins, no cables, no fiddle factor.
T1 Heel Rest - Redesigned heel rest catches the climbing wire in the 12° and 18° positions and is specifically designed to hold the new T1 Heel Locker in place.
Tesla System - Tesla is Spark's premium splitboard binding system with touring brackets, crampons and climbing wires all working together with no unnecessary moving parts - just a clean, simple design that raises the bar in splitboard binding technology.
Whammy Bar Climbing Wire - A single fatty wire built into the baseplate switches easily from stowed, to low (12°), to high (18°) climbing positions and back again while touring. This eliminates the second wire while saving weight and fiddle time.
Buckles and Plastics - Ladders and adjusters are produced in-house with unique thermoplastics that maintain flex over a wide temperature range, performing well on spring tours as well as sub-zero suffer fests. All straps incorporate Burton's time-tested bomber buckles.
Ibex Crampon Compatability - Designed to work seamlessly with Tesla and Tesla T1 System bindings, and backwards compatible to replace the previous Sabertooth Crampon. Lightweight aluminum construction for max strength and minimum weight. Installation and removal is effortless and can be done on the fly by sliding sideways into and out of Tesla Touring Bracket claw mounts. Teeth are fully engaged when used with or without the dual position climbing wire for maximum security on dicey terrain.
Puck Compatibility - Slide them on and snap the ramp down. Snap the ramp up and slide them off. The most functional way to attach your binding to your board in ride mode. Period. Spark R&D bindings are designed to work with all puck compatible splitboard models. When used with these bindings conveniently access puck screws with the bindings in place for precise stance adjustment. Note that pucks do not come with the bindings out of the box and must be purchased separately.
