The Vans Era skate shoes are a classic, your classic; the low-top lace-up that launched a thousand tricks. The Era shoes have taken skate style in its own Off The Wall direction and continues Vans' advancements in comfort and performance to a place of near perfection.
Vulcanized - “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. The sole consists of several layers of rubber, glued together then attached to the upper with rubber foxing tape. Vulcanized soles don’t provide as much foot protection or support as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.
Original Waffle Outsole - Back in '66, Paul van Doren made the first soles of his new shoes twice as thick so they would wear longer. That decision ended up defining the company when the world's first skateboarders discovered how Vans' rubber Waffle Outsole let them feel their board while staying firmly connected to it.
Double Stitching - Adds durability and in turn length to the life of your new shoes.
