The iconic classic that everyone knows and loves, but with a bit more meat. Vans took their Classic Slip-On, put it on steroids, and created a slip durable enough to take all the abuse you can throw at it.
The Slip-On Pro from Vans is more robust than ever with a new removable Ultracush HD insole that provides great support and cushioning. The DuraCap quarter panel ensures this shoe isn't going to fall apart at the thought of griptape.

Vulcanized - “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. These don't provide as much foot protection as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.
Details
Original Waffle Outsole - Made with soles twice as thick so they would wear longer, this original formula combines durability with flexy board-feel to keep all the Vans' fans happy.
Pro VULC Lite Construction - For intuitive control, 50 years of proven Vans professional vulcanized natural gum rubber outsole constructions deliver the ultimate in board feel, flex and traction.
Duracap - Developed and tested to withstand the abuse of the Vans pro skateboarding team; reinforcement is provided through rubber underlays in the toebox and ollie-area for lasting durability to save you time and money.
UltraCush™ HD - Vans' polyurethane-based UltraCush™ HD sockliner keeps the foot close to the board yet won't pack out over time, providing the highest level of impact cushioning.

Vans Slip-On Pro Shoes - blackout
For a wider foot, you really need to stretch these puppies out for them to start being comfortable. After that, they're real darn good shoes. And since they are not Nike, you don't have to sell your soul and become one with corporate america with the purchase of these.

Is the sole thicker than regular slip ons?

The insoles are slightly thicker, as they are the Ultra Cush HD insoles. Personally, these are my favorite skateshoes, and a huge reason why, is that the insoles still manage to provide a good deal of protection on the heel, as well as lots of boardfeel.

I would get what size you normally order in vans and be sure to try them on inside and if they do not fit to return them to us in resalable condition . Hope this helps
