Vulcanized - “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. These don't provide as much foot protection as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.
Footbed
UltraCush™ Lite 3D - Blends the lightweight and responsive feel of the UltraCush™ Lite sockliner with a dual-density foam surrounded by a molded heel cup for unsurpassed cushioning, boardfeel and support.

Pro VULC Lite Construction - For intuitive control, 50 years of proven Vans professional vulcanized natural gum rubber outsole constructions deliver the ultimate in board feel, flex and traction.
Duracap - Developed and tested to withstand the abuse of the Vans pro skateboarding team; reinforcement is provided through rubber underlays in the toebox and ollie-area for lasting durability to save you time and money.
WaffleFlex - Modernized tread design is turned on an angle to create lateral flex grooves across the foot, which promotes anatomical movement. The tread blocks have also been spaced apart with recessed centers to reduce weight and increase flexibility.

Vans TNT Advanced Prototype Skate Shoes
I'm in my late 20's and getting into skateboarding again. I forgot how to do most tricks and was never really that advanced to begin with so learning flip tricks for the first time takes alot out of a shoe. My brother was learning with me at the same time and went through 5 different shoes and I still have the same ones. I finally managed to get though the double layered gum sides but the suede and rubber coated toe box can really take a beating, still haven't got though that part yet. The vents on the inside at least let some air in but not a whole lot. And the harder rubber sections on the bottom of the sole are in the perfect spot to slow down the wear from trying to get your foot placement right trick after trick. Over all this is an amazing shoe and I see no reason to go with anything else! I am buying my second set now.
