Improving upon one of Vans' more technologically advanced shoes, the Ultrarange Pro II offers increased performance in lightweight cushioning, durability and responsiveness. The Ultrarange Pro construction makes the shoe incredibly light with the support of UltraCush Lite™, and the LuxLiner bootie system molds the shoe to your foot. Underneath the upper material is Duracap underlay, and on top of the upper, there are abrasive resistant patches for ultimate protection. Altogether this shoe is made to withstand the harshest and crustiest spots you can find.
Cupsole - Cupsoles are durable, well-cushioned and provide the best impact protection against hard landings. The sole consists of a single rubber layer, reinforced with glue then stitched to the upper. Cupsoles generally last longer than vulcanized soles, but don't provide as much flexibility and board feel right out of the box.
Original Waffle Outsole - Back in '66, Paul van Doren made the first soles of his new shoes twice as thick so they would wear longer. That decision ended up defining the company when the world's first skateboarders discovered how Vans' rubber Waffle Outsole let them feel their board while staying firmly connected to it.
LuxLiner Bootie Construction - This advanced liner construction improves the comfort and fit by enabling the shoe to conform and move with the shape of the foot. This free-floating liner is an extension of the tongue. It's hidden under the front surface of the shoe and is able to move independently from the outer shell.
This system increases airflow, breathability and reduces any chance of hot spots or pinching in the toe box.
Duracap - Vans shoes with Duracap feature reinforced rubber underlays in the areas where your shoes wear out the fastest. Durcap was developed and tested to withstand the abuse of the Vans pro skateboarding team, and gives you added durability even if you skate daily.
WaffleFlex - Modernized tread design is turned on an angle to create lateral flex grooves across the foot, which promotes anatomical movement. The tread blocks have also been spaced apart with recessed centers to reduce weight and increase flexibility.
UltraCush™ Lite - Vans' UltraCush™ Lite low-profile foam sockliner is ultralight and anatomically contoured for quick, responsive cushioning, providing a natural fit and ride.
