The Shadow Insulated Jacket has everything you need to keep you dry, warm, and fashionable this winter season. A V-Science 2-layer shell provides great waterproofing and breathability, while Low-Loft insulation keeps you nice n' toasty. All this tech wrapped up into one stylish jacket, with a long EQS fit and removable faux fur hood brim. This jacket isn't lacking anything, including convenience, with plenty of pockets to stash all your gadgets and goods. An adjustable powder skirt, pocket access hem cinch, and drawcord hood cinch ensure no powder will be making it's way in. Volcom thought of everything with this one, even mesh lined zippered vents to let out extra heat. You're sure to be the talk of the mountain with this jacket.
Fully Taped - Having outerwear with fully taped seams means that on the inside of the jacket all the seams are covered in tape to provide the most effective waterproofing. It can be considered a key feature if you live in a wet climate or are planning on wearing the jacket during heavy rains. The downside is that due to the full taping there is less breathability than you'd experience with critically taped seams.
Synthetic insulation is measured in grams, so a jacket with a 80g rating simply means that a 1 meter by 1 meter piece of that particular jacket's insulation weighs 80 grams. The higher the rating, the warmer the outerwear.
