Redesigned with a whole new geometry and ready to cover the widest loads out there. Independent set out to engineer a truck based on older stages of Independent trucks, but with improved performance for modern skateboarding. To do this they modeled select past trucks and overlaid cross sections of them with the Stage 10 design.
These 169 Stage 11 trucks are a little taller, allowing for more range of motion, less wheel bite, better grind clearance, and improved turn and stability. Guaranteed for life and made in the USA, these are high-tech trucks that are made to grind and won't disappoint.
I got these last weekend and I love them. I started learning to skate transition and they lock into the coping well. I'm experimenting with different bushings to see which one work for my style. I'm riding 58 mm mini logo wheels with ABEC 7 bearings.
I have settled on big (8.8 to 9.0") popsicles, mainly Creature as of late for skating vert and bowls as of late with Indy 169's and 58mm wheels of the very hard variety with no spacers. Couldn't be happier, carves with ease, smooth grinds, and tough as hell. What more can you ask for!

Good trucks, especially for the price.

Independent 169 Stage 11 Silver Skateboard Trucks
I like these better than the Haslam Hollows I previously purchased. They turn really well but are pretty stable at high speeds. I was using hard bushings in my last set, but with these I left the original ones in. They may be a little bit heavy, but I don't think it's really a factor with the extra weight a larger board adds.
