K2 T1 Snowboard Boots - black
Really wanted to like these boots, but they just don't fit or ride well. First impression, other than they look rad, is they are very light. The initial quality seems higher than the average snowboard product, too, which I was hoping for and expecting as K2 is a ski company first. I find most snowboard gear, especially from snowboard only companies, to be just plain junk. Didn't get to test their long-term quality as they are un-rideable for me. They are very stiff, but not in all the right ways. I bought these as a replacement for DC Terrain boots, which are very stiff front to back(initiating turns), but allow a comfortable flex side to side to allow flexing of the board longitudinally for buttering, pressing, and altering for/aft stance for different riding situations and adjustments to uneven snow. These are the stiffest boots side to side I've ever ridden and felt awkwardly locked into one stance, not allowing any stance adjustments necessary to negotiate uneven terrain at speed. Very scary feeling! I have a narrow and low volume foot, but I can't imagine who's foot these would fit as they were circulation-restrictingly tight on the top of my foot, but completely loose around my ankle and heel, so much so that I rolled my ankle inside the boot just trying and playing with them strapped into my board in my living room. I have NEVER been in a snowboard boot that that was even remotely possible... Absolutely terrifying and a complete no-go!!! The inner boa does an ok job of holding my heel in place dispite all of this unnecessary room, but being inside the tongue with only the soft liner between it and your foot, it creates a terrible pressure point, or line really, and chops into the front of your ankle every time you flex the boot forward, and this is when they're new!! Ouch!!! Maybe these would work for somebody, but these felt absolutely terrible to me.

K2 T1 Snowboard Boots - camo
This is a solid boot. That's all there is to it.
This is the 3rd pair of K2-T1's I have purchased in the last 9 years and each pair has had 100-200 days of hard riding, snowmobiling, and hiking in them. The only reason I had to get new pairs was because the boot eventually started to break down from where my board would rest on the chair lift or the sole became separated (again, this only started to happen after thorough abuse of the boot after a couple years).
The pair I recently purchased seems to be a little softer and not as stiff as the first two pairs of T1's. Still a great boot and would purchase again in another few years.
Best boots i have ever owned
