Ultra light HP construction really makes a difference climbing and riding with the split set up. Basalt adds torsional rigidity which helps these dream splits perform when Travis puts them to the test. Close your eyes and point it, there is no way to tell it is a split set up.

Comments about Lib Tech T. Rice Pro HP C2 BTX Splitboard:
I have the 161.5, and the 164.5. It is nice to have both. I weigh 145 pounds, and am 5'11" tall, although I do notice the difference between the sizes in deep powder.
164 is pretty much what I ride for powder.
THIS DECK HAULS!! It is the fastest deck I have. I was VERY impressed immediately. There does in fact seem to be something about the "horse power".
Yet, it stays in complete control, even in groomers! I can land airs just fine, although it might be a bit slippery to get used to that at first.
Banana is obviously going to be the best split board in powder for keeping you up in touring/ski mode, although might reach it's limitations on an icy face.
I will say, this is my favorite split board of all. With a pair of Carbon Karakoram bindings, it is THE BOMB, and pretty darn light even with all the touring hard wear.
