Expensive bearings will not help you skate faster - smoother or last longer

Comments about Mini Logo Precision Skateboard Bearings:

I've used this for street skating, street tricks, and freeride longboarding. Great bearings for the price. They'll definitely do the job. For bearings, as long as they're not bad, other aspects of your board matter a lot more. These were very good and made at the same factory as the Bones bearings. They sat flush in the wheel and the rubber seals were easily removed to make cleaning easy. Mine never rusted as long as I took care of it. I did have a pair that I kept in really wet conditions that did rust after 6 months of riding and no maintenance, but a little bit of elbow grease cleaned of all of it pretty easily.

Comments about Mini Logo Precision Skateboard Bearings:

If you're determined to pay as little as possible for bearings, then go with Minilogos. They're made by Bones/Skate One, so even their cheapest effort will be better than the other rebranded bearings put out by deck brands in fancy packaging. The build quality here is very clean and sturdy. I'm not crazy about the metal shields on the inside, but I can see how they keep the buildings more low maintenance for beginning users. Plus you do get rubber shields on the outside. My favorites are still Reds, but these are a high quality, workhorse bearing that you can't go wrong with. This is the ideal beginner's bearing that would work just as well for experienced riders.

Comments about Mini Logo Precision Skateboard Bearings:

These bearings are not only inexpensive, they're also really smooth, really fast and really well made. I initially got these as cheap bearings for a new set of wheels on a complete thinking they were just some so-so off brand bearings, but after breaking them in in the bowls (which really didn't take long) I found that they were so much smoother and felt faster than my reds. Cleaned and re-greased them recently and that was easy too and they run just as smooth as the day I got them. Definitely buying these for all my wheels now.

do they match up with bones reds

                • A:

Bones Reds are going to be a bit faster than these, while neither are ABEC rated these would equate to an ABEC 5 and the Bones Reds to an ABEC 7. The higher that number, the less friction is generated within the bearing housing.

These aren't given an ABEC rating (much like Bones Reds) though I believe they would equate to about a ABEC 3.

                • A:

no abec rating, but i think they would be at least an abec 5 maybe better, ive seen abec 7's that are worse than these bearings.
