New Balance Brighton 344 Skate Shoes
They are cool shoes besides the fact the bottoms fall apart. I've been cursing in them for 3 months and the bottoms are falling apart already. I thought new balance made quality shoes to last? I mean you would expect a better shoe for 80$ that lasts at least a year esp when light crusing around town. Should of stuck with nikes....

Great skate shoe. Very durable and excellent board feel. Souls of the shoes are some what slick but that is the only downside.

New Balance Brighton 344 Skate Shoes - magnet grey/wine red
I've only skated these a dozen times but they seem to be holding up well. Thin sole with great board-feel, a riff on my favorite, the Vans waffle. Wear areas are more densely patterned (heel and ball of foot) so I expect them to last since that is exactly what I wear out first in shoes.
Stoked when I heard New Balance was getting in the game, since they are the only big manufacturer to retain some domestic production. These specific shoes are not made in the USA but at least NB is committed to keeping some production in the States whenever feasible, unlike Nike and everyone else for that matter.
