One Ball Jay started making surf wax in 1986 using tree sap and bees wax. At the time no other wax company addressed the need for truly cold water wax. Being from the Northwest, OBJ needed a wax that would go on when it's snowing out, and grips like glue. The same additives that make OBJ surf wax work insane in the coldest waters have been added to their formulas for all water temps.
