I have been riding 8.25” popsicle decks in the most recent years but wanted to switch things up with a shaped deck, but didn’t want it to be too wide, as most shaped boards are. Lots of shaped decks are 9” or bigger. This 8.75” is perfect! At the widest point on the front bolts it’s 8.75 and the rear bolts area is about 8.25 so I was able to use the 8.25 trucks I had on my previous board. You could also use 8.5 trucks if you want so it would be more flush on the front end and shouldn’t stick out too much on the rear. I also love that the wheel base is only 14.37”. Sometimes wider boards make the wheelbase longer like 14.5 or bigger which can steal some of your snap for quick pops. Although a longer wheelbase would give you more stability for transition if that’s what you do most. I ride a good mix of street and transition so 14.25 is usually what o shoot for. Great shape, love the concave and slightly squared off nose. Super fun board! If you want to try something new, check this out!
