Wheel Profile

You may notice a discrepancy between what we designate a wide, standard or narrow and what the brands do. This classification is our opinion based on years of skating, as well as looking at the profile of the wheel as it compares to what we believe is a standard profile. You just have to trust us on this.

Standard - Your classic wheel shape, it's not built to excel in specific scenarios like a narrow or wide wheel, but it's appropriate for most situations. If you're new to skating this is where you want to start.

Surface Type

Smooth - Smooth wheels have a shiny coating on their surface that is commonly referred to as its skin or mold release. Smooth wheels are generally preferred for their grip and traction.

Ricta Cloud Skateboard Wheels
I ride with these on bumpy asphalt with rocks and they still hold up great! Smoothest ride I've ever had (especially compared to trick wheels). You probably won't be able to do very many tricks (maybe ollie) because they're on the larger side, but definitely not so big that they're longboard sized. I love these wheels, highly reccomend if you just wanna cruise.

Ricta Cloud Skateboard Wheels
I moved to Philly and found that the wheels I had on my board were too hard to take the inconsistencies and rough spots of this city. I put these on my board matched with some Bones Reds and the skating is like butter. Highly recommend.

Ricta Cloud Skateboard Wheels - white/red (86a)
This wheel is perfect if your streets aren't nice and smooth, but aren't too soft that it ruins your flip tricks.

Ricta Cloud Skateboard Wheels - white/blue (78a)
Just set up my cruiser and these wheels are amazing. I can go over grates and even gravel patches, super smooth ride. A bit heavier, but I can still ollie up curbs. Buy these!!

Asked by Plaid Retina on 2/14/2017
I'm looking at 60mm's, but are they center set like regular wheels, or side set or offset that will add width to my trucks? (Kryptos for example add a lot of width) Thanx!
Answered by Danny M (Tactics Employee) on 2/14/2017
These wheels are center set like regular wheels.

Can these wheels powerslide??
Answered by Danny M (Tactics Employee) on 2/7/2017
These wheels are quite soft and not meant to be slid, but I would imagine with enough force they would slide. However I would not recommend these wheels for doing powerslides.

Asked by Shadow on 5/30/2016
Would these be good for a street skateboard that I would ride to school?
Answered by Elijah W (Tactics Employee) on 5/31/2016
The 78a formula will roll over almost anything on your way to school! 57mm will be even better because of its size.
