Not only is the truck light, but it also turns really responsively and sharp. The bushings are quiet at first but afterwards begin to squeak. Recommended if you prefer sharp turns over a more surfer style turn like Independents.

Thunder Trucks Polished Skateboard Trucks - polished (147 hi)
I'm a convert, Light, Low, Turn great out of the box. Not all trucks are the same I like Independents for pools and any kind of tranny, but the High and heavy these Thunders are great for the lower set up and quicker response when turning really happy.

Very solid and well made pair of trucks. Bushing are a little squeaky but that's no big deal. Highly recommend.

    Asked by Eric on 2/17/2017
Will 149 thunder trucks fit in a 8.25 deck perfectly?
Answered by Danny M (Tactics Employee) on 2/21/2017
They won't fit perfect, they are exactly 8.5 inches across, so it will be a bit wider than the board.

So your saying the height is different between a 147 hi and a 149 hi? That doesn't make any sense. Also you say the hollows lights 149 which have a thinner base plate are the same height as the standard truck 149. That can't be right.
Answered by Danny M (Tactics Employee) on 2/21/2017
Yes the height of the 147 hi's and the 149 hi's are going to be the same, the only difference will be the width of the truck. And I believe they designed the hollow lights to have the same height as the standard 149's, even though the base plate is thinner. Odd I know, but that is the way they did it!

Asked by Sean D2 on 1/31/2017
How would these do on an 8.8 deck?
Answered by Danny M (Tactics Employee) on 2/1/2017
I would recommend the 151's for an 8.8", the 147's will be too narrow for this board.
