Toy Machine Monster XXL 9.0 Skateboard Deck - natural stain
I'm in my mid-30s and skated most between 1988-93. This shape is probably intended as a modern cruiser but is just like the decks were in 1991, before the football shapes hit on their way to becoming popsicles. I threw a pair of rails on it, some Indys, and a pair of 52mm wheels. Nice and solid ride, good nostalgic fun. (And FYI I ride a modern popsicle shape as well)
The graphic is a standard Toy Machine design and I love Ed Templeton's work, but I was very disappointed to find that the colorway I ordered (neutral/natural background) was covered in flecks and blemishes from the heat-transfer graphics. This is the sort of thing that would have never made it to the shops in the silkscreened graphic days.
