Vans Chima Ferguson Pro Skate Shoes - (covert twill) navy/gum
This show is durable and stylish. The darker sole is great for hiding scuffs, and the canvas upper is good for most all weather conditions. Overall the shoe seems a bit too narrow for my feet, but hopefully a bit more wear will break them in to a more comfortable fit.

Vans Chima Ferguson Pro Skate Shoes - (checkerboard) tan/blue
I bought this pair of shoes for my son who is 11 yrs old and has a big feet. He loves it. It looks very hip! Since It is not for my feet, I am not sure how comfortable it is. However, the sole has a very good cushion to support.

Vans Chima Ferguson Pro Skate Shoes
I bought this shoe a couple of months ago and didnt skate it till the past month. The canvas on the shoe rips rather quickly and I got an ollie hole in about a week. The toe takes a bit longer to wear down, but you have the rubber underneath which takes a bit longer to go through. I think I ate through the vulc faster than the rubber layer. The laces ripped rather quickly for me, but that always happens with my shoes. Also one con about these shoes for me was that my pinky toe would hurt after rubbing against the side of the shoe for weeks. It never really went away until my last couple weeks of skating them and by then the shoe was destroyed. I got the grey canvas version so I am assuming that is why the shoe tore away so quickly.

Vans Chima Ferguson Pro Skate Shoes - (mtn. mirror) wine
    I don't skate. I ride a dirt bike. But I dig Vans.

I wanted to try some Vans with the UltraCush insoles and see how much better they were compared to the regular foam insoles. Tactics had these on give-away prices and so I scored the pair.
These are so waaay better than the basic styles ...and all they did was put in a decent insole. Actually the shoe is made differently ...looks more like a running shoe when you pull out the insole. That insole provides better foot support especially in the heel. The edges of the insole create a rounded "cup" for your heel; no more square edges that can cause blisters or sore spots. And equally important is some arch support which is, to be nice, not a real forte in most Vans. The shoes are just a scad lighter than your basic Era's and Authentic's. The toe box on the Chima is slightly elongated; where the Era's/Authentic's are blunt and rounder the Chima is more pointed giving a slightly narrower look to the shoe.

I can't comment on board feel but they feel great to wear all day long. These are the most cush Vans you can slip your dogs into.
